Cosmetology deals with maintaining and restoring the beauty of the face and body.

In recent years, it has been an extremely dynamically developing branch of science, benefiting from the achievements of natural sciences and health sciences, such as biology, genetics, biophysics, biochemistry, anatomy, physiology and pharmacology.

The result of scientific thought is the dynamic development of cosmetics production, which is constantly growing both in Europe and in Poland. Some of the cosmetic products, in addition to their purely cosmetic properties, also have healing or treatment-supporting properties, hence their important role in the education program of selected health sciences.
